MTJB Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is responsible for governing MTJB. They provide oversight, management, and accountability for the operations of all MTJB sites in alignment with the organization’s mission, while aiming to meet the needs of families, staff, and communities.

When does the Board meet?

We meet once per month
When we meet in person, we alternate between Maynard & Kemptville as the meeting location
All Board Meetings are virtual right now
Our meetings are from 7pm-9pm
We do not meet in July & August

The kids love going to daycare each day! They are engaged in the programs and really respond well to the structure that MTJB provides. Staff truly care and love my children. My kids are excited to see their teachers/care givers each day. I can honestly say that the MTJB staff have become family. Every ECE that has taken care of our son since he started at MTJB has been kind, understanding and loving. When he shouts “Bye! The MTJB staff make my boys feel special and important. They've encouraged them and taught them throughout the levels and different rooms they've been in. From day one we have loved MTJB!
I remember having so many questions as a first-time mom. I was worried about his sleep, his lack of desire for any food that wasn't fruit or veggies, how he'd interact with the other kids etc. The ladies in the infant room took every single fear away. As he's moved up through the rooms, he's grown more confident and social, and with each room change his vocabulary has exploded. He loves all his teachers and all the staff. At some point in time, each of you has been his best friend and he's talked about you all endlessly. Knowing how much he loves you all, makes us so happy with our choice.

My daughter has now moved on from the main site and is attending school and the before & after program. She has had a seamless transition and we have all of you to thank for this. You set her up for success teaching her skills like: listening, waiting for her turn, how to care for others, how to share, how to sit and eat together with others, and the list could go on. But coming from a parent who has a shy child, I cried on her first day and not because she was scared but the complete opposite. She walked into the school yard with her head held high knowing the environment would be structured similar to the environment you provide. Thank you for moulding the start of her academic future to be a positive one.

What is not to love?! All the ladies I've had the pleasure of being around, I treat as family! I never knew any of them before I enrolled my kids 7 years ago...and they have all earned my respect and love. They treat my children like they were their own. To top it off, they've always been accommodating to our family's needs, and that's not easy to come by with our always fluctuating work schedules. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

We would like to thank each of you for your ongoing support with L's daycare journey. We cannot express enough thanks for everyone at MTJB including our daughters teachers. Even though we are still going through the adjustment period, you all have been so accommodating and welcoming. N always comes home being so happy after her weekdays spent with all of you. She loves all of the toys and crafts. She even tells us about her delicious snacks! Dropping her off to all of you for the day leaves myself and my husband with total peace of mind. Thank you all a million for what you do!
