COVID-19 has changed some of the ways licensed child care operates in the province of Ontario. MTJB, along with all licensed child care centres, are required to follow the Ontario Ministry of Education and Health's most up-to-date rules and guidelines in regards to COVID-19 and other illnesses.
MTJB has comprehensive illness and cleaning policies and procedures that are informed by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and our local public health unit.
Many of our COVID-19 and childhood illness policies and procedures are outlined in our Parent Handbook.
MTJB Childcare Centre Inc. is a private non-profit business governed by a voluntary board of members. The board has decided to follow the advice of our local public health and the Ministry of Education about indoor masking protocols at our centres.
At this time staff members employed by MTJB Childcare Centre Inc. are not required to wear medical masks, however MTJB reserves the right to adjust this policy at any point in time depending on new information being offered by the Ministry of Education, our local public health unit, or a decision by our board of parent volunteers.
Parents are allowed in the centres at present, and are not being asked to wear a mask or face covering. MTJB reserves the right to adjust this policy at any point in time depending on new information being offered by the Ministry of Education, our local public health unit, or a decision by our board of parent volunteers.
Masks or face coverings for children enrolled in our programs is optional at this point in time.
